Active Accounts
Profile data, posts, and activity are retained for as long as an account is active. Members may export or delete their data at any time.
Account Deletion
When an account is deleted: the profile is immediately hidden from all public and member views; personally identifiable data (name, email, photos) is purged within 30 days; health records are purged within 7 days; anonymous STI notification logs are retained in aggregate anonymized form only.
Backups
Database backups are retained for 14 days and then permanently deleted. Backup data is subject to the same deletion timeline as live data: if you request deletion, your data is removed from the next backup cycle.
Legal Holds
In cases of pending legal proceedings or law enforcement requests, specific data may be held beyond normal retention periods. Members will be notified of any such hold to the extent permitted by law.
Health Data
STI testing records are treated as sensitive health data. They are retained only for as long as the member's account is active and are purged within 7 days of account deletion — not 30 days like other profile data.
